Choosing Your Belt
Question: Are all the belts interchangeable?
Answer: Yes, we create all of our standard straps (XX) belts with an innovative interchangeable system, meaning you can simply change buckles and straps over to give a whole new look. The following styles are not interchangeable:
Question: I have a belt strap already, and want a new buckle. How do I know which ones will fit?
Answer: Simply measure the width of your belt, and then you can search by that width for the buckles that will fit. Bear in mind, sometimes belts we be cut a mm or so smaller - so a 38mm strap will fit a 40mm buckle, for example.
Question: Can I design my own belt?
Answer: Absolutely! If there is a buckle and strap combination you can't find online, we'd be happy to make this up for you. In addition, if you're looking for a specific colour or texture, we have an enormous range we can show you that WE can make bespoke for you (at a small surcharge).
Delivery & Returns
Question: How long does delivery take?
Answer: Items are all sent by Royal Mail on a first class recorded delivery service. Delivery in the UK for in stock items usually takes 3-5 days. Delivery costs £XXX and we offer FREE delivery on orders over £100
Question: Can I return an item?
Answer: If you are unhappy with your item, then it can be returned within 30 days, in an unworn condition in original packaging. We also offer an exchange policy as well. Please ensure you get proof of postage when sending any items back. Returns and exchanges are not possible on bespoke items.
Question: What if something breaks?
Answer: Proud of our quality and craftsmanship, we will always endeavour to fix any problems with our belts or buckles, although we are pleased to say this isn't something that has happened often!
Question: How do I know what size to pick?
Answer: We recommend taking a tape measure around the point that you would like to wear the belt, and matching this to our size guide:
Question: Can I go buy my clothing waist size?
Answer: We don't recommend this as with women there can be a 6-10 inch different from your jean size to the size belt you'd need. With men, generally they will need a belt 3-4 inches bigger than their waist size.
Question: I need a size not listed, is this possible
Answer: Absolutely, we can make any size required so if you need something smaller, larger or inbetween the sizes listed, please contact us and we will get back to you about your bespoke order.
Question: Where are the belts made?
Answer: All of our belts are made in our Shropshire studio, United Kingdom. As a husband and wife team we (Ann & Bill) have been making belts since 1974. Once upon a time many of the major department stores and designers were supplied belts and accessories made by us, and now we enjoy only making to sell directly to our loyal and growing customer base.
Question: Where are the leathers and buckles from?
Answer: We have worked with a small number of artisan tanneries and casters for the past 30 years - most of which are based in Italy, home of luxury leathergoods.
Question: What are the lined belts lined with?
Answer: Our belts that aren't one piece of saddle hide are lined with luxury nubuck lining. This is natural coloured so you don't have to worry about colour bleeding, and adds a lovely luxury feel.
